LATEST UPDATE ON LEASE RENEWAL August 2025
A massive thank you to everyone who signed our petition. We presented this to the Council in July. You can view the video here: starts at 41 minutes in.
The reply was sort of as expected. Following Brent’s inability to negotiate with us we have now filed Court Papers to protect our position, surprisingly we then had a successful discussion with the Council officers. We discovered that the original demand of £75k was a ‘desktop exercise’ for which we amazingly received an apology. (It’s only taken a year to get to this point)
However there may be a way forward that means we can reduce the rent to an affordable level and negotiations continue.
